WHY THEATRE?

Questions

Firstly, I wanted to examine the relation between art and society.

I also wanted to get a grasp on what makes art nessessary both aesthetically and socially, and what constrains it's expression and devlopment.

I'd also like to examine the issues and skills required to make artistic ideas work in practice.

My overall goal is to gain a critical and creative dialogue between artists of all sorts(ranging from Artistic Directors to Playwrights to Arts Admininstrators) as well as students and theatre going public.
